Account & Data Deletion

When we process your deletion request, we permanently remove or anonymise the following from our systems:

• Your name, email address, phone number, and profile photo.
• Saved delivery addresses and wishlist items.
• Newsletter subscription status.
• Product reviews and questions you've posted (we keep the text but detach it from your account).
• Loyalty points balance and transaction history.
• Authentication record at Firebase (you'll no longer be able to sign in with the same credentials).

Bangladeshi tax + consumer-protection rules require us to keep certain transactional records even after an account is deleted:

• Order + invoice records: kept for 6 years from the order date. These are detached from your account and stored as anonymised transaction rows — name and contact are kept only insofar as they appear on the original tax invoice.
• Refund / return audit trails: retained for the same window as the parent order.
• Aggregate analytics: we may keep counts and trends (e.g. "100 acrylic paint sets sold in May") — these never identify you.

Option A — From your account (preferred)

1. Sign in at canvasdhaka.com/login.
2. Open My Account.
3. Scroll to Account & privacy and click Delete my account.
4. Confirm the prompt. We send a confirmation email; click the link inside to finalise.

Option B — By email

If you can't sign in (forgot your password, lost access to your phone, etc.), email privacy@canvasdhaka.com from the address on file. Include any details that help us verify the account is yours (full name, phone number used on orders, recent order numbers).

We respond within 5 working days and complete deletion within 30 days of the verified request — usually sooner.

If you signed up using Continue with Facebook, deleting your Canvas BD account also disconnects the Facebook association on our side. You can additionally remove the Canvas BD app from your Facebook account at any time:

1. Go to Facebook → Settings → Apps and Websites.
2. Find Canvas BD in the active list and click Remove.

Removing the app at Facebook stops Facebook sending us new profile data but does not by itself delete your Canvas BD account — use Option A or B above for that.

• You'll be signed out from every device.
• The email + phone you used will become available for someone else to sign up with — re-using them won't reopen your old account.
• You can place future orders as a guest, or sign up fresh — we won't recognise the previous account.
• Backups containing your data are overwritten on our standard 30-day rotation.
